The Position

Meesho is seeking a passionate and technically adept TPM to join our growing team. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define, develop, and launch impactful tech-driven features. You'll be the voice of the user, ensuring our products address their pain points and unlock new possibilities for their businesses.

Job Summary

As a Technical Product Manager (TPM) at Meesho, you'll wear many hats. You'll be a strategist, researcher, communicator, and champion for innovation. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Understanding User Needs: Conduct user research, analyze data, and actively engage with our user base to identify their needs, challenges, and aspirations.
• Product Definition & Roadmap: Translate user insights into clear, actionable product requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive product roadmap that prioritizes features and drives business objectives.
• Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of technical concepts, architecture, and development processes. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure product feasibility, scalability, and performance.
• Feature Ownership: Lead the entire product lifecycle for assigned features - from ideation and user research to development, testing, and launch. Ensure features are shipped on time, within budget, and meet user expectations.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to measure product performance and user adoption. Use data to inform future product decisions and continuously iterate on features for improvement.
• Communication & Collaboration: Be a clear and concise communicator. Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, marketers, and data scientists, to ensure alignment and achieve product goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct user research and analyze market trends to identify product opportunities.
• Define product vision, roadmap, and user stories.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
• Break down complex features into manageable tasks, ensuring clear communication and ownership within the engineering team.
• Manage product development lifecycle, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and tracking progress.
• Foster close collaboration between product, engineering, design, and data teams.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate on product features.
• Track product performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Advocate for a data-driven approach to product development.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest e-commerce trends and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• • 3+ years of experience in a product management role, preferably in a tech-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce industry and its core principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in user research, market analysis, and user experience (UX) design principles.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results on time.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence).
  • A passion for technology and its potential to empower communities.
