Job Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Coordinator to join our remote team. You'll be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to develop your accounting skills, work with cutting-edge financial technology, and contribute to Paytm's mission of financial inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain the general ledger, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements.
- Assist with the month-end closing process and other financial reporting activities.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting role (freshers will also be considered for exceptional candidates).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
